PROJECT SUMMARY
The scheme on the former Perfume Factory site provided student accommodation and residential suites for the rental market within a series of blocks rising to 31 storeys. The student accommodation comprises 603 studio and twin bedrooms (729 beds) together with warden units, arranged over 9 to 31 storeys. The development also includes 85 PRS residential units extending up to 10 storeys.
DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION
A stud & track infill project (to a primary structure-by others), with Intelligent Steel taking a lead in managing the design and co-ordination between client, architect and engineer to deliver an efficient solution ahead of programme.
Colour coded deliveries along with pre-assembled double studs and lintels as well as deflection head track facilitated quicker on-site install times.
PROJECT SUCCESSES
The operational team at ISS were able to utilise online portals for both design and deliveries to co-ordinate changes to client’s original program, due to unforeseen site constraints, whilst maintaining overall program.
